I discovered these KONGDY gel sheets several years ago. They are soft, gel-like pads that stick to a child's (or sometimes an adult's) forehead that disperse a continual, cooling sensation. They stick well but it does not hurt to take it off. The are completely safe to use with medicine and the relief last for several hours.
These can be hard to find at the store, so I am really glad that I found them here online store.
My son gets extremely high temperatures when he is ill. 104- 105 degrees (Fahrenheit) is pretty common for him. Many times before, I have used a wash cloth to try to make him feel cool while we are waiting for the medicine to kick in but the cloth seems to warm up too quickly. Having to constantly go to the sink to cool it off is just not very ideal. (I won't use an ice pack because I don't want to cause shivering or other complications.) When his medicine is working, his fever only comes down to about 101.5- 102.5 degrees. Which sadly, is actually reassuring for me but it's still uncomfortable for him. These gel sheet have been very helpful in making him feel a lot better and soothing him enough so he can get the rest that he needs.
